The loss dropped A&M to a 4-2 overall record, 1-1 in Big 12 play. The 33rd-ranked Aggies led 1-0 ear ly after sweeping the doubles point, but the Long horns won four singles matches to claim the victo ry. Rafael de Mesa, currently the No. 31 player in the nation, de feated Nick Crow ell in singles 7-6, j 6-1 and Shuon Madden im proved his dual match record to 6-0 with a win over Gwaneal Guiet. Dumitru Caradima and Brent Ho ran teamed up to defeat Michael Blue and B.J. Sterns 8-6 in doubles play while de Mesa and Cody Hubbell won their doubles contest 9-7 over Jack Brasington and Guiet. The next match for the Aggies is scheduled for Saturday when they take on No. 12 Pepperdine at noon at the Omar Smith Tennis Center. Texas A&M beats Baylor, ties Trinity The Texas A&M Women’s Lacrosse Team (4-0-1) played two games on Saturday, posting one win and one tie. In the first game, A&M defeated Baylor 6-4 and in the sec ond the Aggies took Trinity University to overtime where they would settle for a 10-10 tie. Kate Davenport, Heather Stein and Daxa Patel each had one goal and one assist in the winning effort against Baylor. Bria White provided the offense in the second game with four goals and two assists. White scored one goal in the overtime period. The Aggies will host the Universi ty of Texas on Saturday at 1 p.m. Wolverines battle Aggies at Olsen The Texas A&M Men’s Baseball Team (13-3, 2-1) takes on the Michigan Wolverines (2-3-1) at Olsen Field for a two game series starting Tuesday. Both games start at 3 p.m. The Aggies are currently ranked No. 13 in the Collegiate Baseball poll. Michigan, the preseason favorite to win the Big 10, is in a road trip of Texas. They opened the season with a three-game series at Baylor, followed by a three-game series at Lamar.
