The museum also offers sum mer, spring and winter camps for children and programs that help ac quaint children with animals. The Discovery Room is a section of the museum that houses live an imals, including turtles, snakes and other various reptiles. The museum also offers a program called Babies and Beasties. It is designed to show children as young as 18 months how to get along with nature. The Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History is the only institu tion of its kind within a 100-mile ra dius of Bryan-College Station, and according to a public service an nouncement, "The museum teach es respect and appreciation for the region’s natural history and informs people about the natural world of our ancestors and our place in the natural world today.” Huey said the museum’s mission is to help people understand what has happened in the Brazos Valley. Beginning Jan. 16, the museum will showcase a traveling exhibit on dinosaurs. Members of Motley Crue rough up security guard PHOENIX (AP) — Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee and bassist Nikki Sixx were arrested on assault charges for allegedly knocking over a security guard during a concert. The guard was bowled over by fans who rushed the America West Arena stage Wednesday at Lee’s urging, said Sgt. Mike Torres, a police spokesman. When the guard tried to hold audience members back, Lee and Sixx tackled him, Torres said. Lee, the husband of former “Baywatch” star Pamela Anderson Lee, and Sixx were booked and re leased early Thursday.
