Angelos is angry that Johnson directed second baseman Roberto Alomar to pay a $10,500 fine to a charity in which Johnson’s wife is involved, according to The (Baltimore) Sun, The Washington Post and The New York Times. The fine was imposed by Johnson in July because Alomar missed an Orioles’ Triple-A exhi bition game during the All-Star break and a team banquet in April. Johnson directed Alomar to pay the fine to a scholarship fund run by a doctor at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
