Now, even with the pre- konderance of R-rated films’ movies are made for the middle- school crowd.” For those who do not consider an “old movie” to be one playing at the discount theater, classic films are available for rental at local video stores, and students can occasion ally catch them at Rudder Theatre. Brent Troyan, chair of the MSC Film Society, said the group tries to bring classic movies to the campus as part of its Aggie Cine ma program. “We want to give students the op portunity to see something on the big screen they couldn’t have seen before,” Troyan said. “We look for the movies everybody’s heard about, but nobody’s seen, like Casablanca and Breakfast at Tiffany’s.” Hundreds of students attended the Film Society’s showing of Breakfast at Tiffany’s last Friday, Troyan said. Bison Continued from Page 3 After processing the bison , Brown-Preiss said like in the American custom, they use ever part of the animal. Processing the bison is a spir itual rite for her. “We save the heart and return it back to nature at our farm,” she said. “We say this three-page prayer about how we never want to abuse the animal and always hold it in high esteem.” This Saturday, the Texas A&M Football Team takes on the Uni versity of Colorado Buffaloes. Considering Colorado’s mas cot, a few members of the team thought a bison burger might be tasty. Senior center Koby Hackradt said he thought bison and beef were equal. “I would treat a bison burger like a normal hamburger, and eat it with fries,” Hackradt said. “And if the bison burger symbolized tearing up Colorado, I’d definite ly eat one.” Sophomore right guard Semi- si Heimuli was anxious to try a bi son burger and said a good side dish for the burger would be a roast pig. Coach R.C. Slocum said he heard bison burgers were pretty good and low in fat, but dry. “I’d doctor it up with a little barbeque sauce and have some big ‘ol juicy fries with it,” Slocum said. And does Slocum think A&M will serve Colorado Buffalo burgers after the football game Saturday? “It's probably a little bit easier to make a buffalo burger than to make minced meat out of Col orado’s football team,” he said. “With old movies, you get in sight into contemporary movies,” Troyan said. “It gives you a chance to see movie cliches from before they were cliches.” Hoagwood said he agrees. “You can see this kind of change come over American film,” Hoagwood said. “Some people like to think what these changes in American movies reflect in Amer ican life.” .**»&*«***•.
