Continued from Page 1 Texas A&M participated in a col lege alcohol study done by the Har vard School of Public Health in Octo ber 1994. More than 70 percent of the stu dents surveyed at A&M had used al cohol in the past 30 days, and 70 per cent of underage students had indicated use. Also, 41.9 percent of A&M students said they have driven after drinking alcohol, compared to 30.3 percent for other large public uni versities. More than 20 percent drove after 5 or more dr inks, compared with 11 percent for other schools. Hanson said the 1FC has its own set of drinking policies that includes many of the Residence Hail Associa tion regulations. The IFC requires an identification program, hired securi ty, servers and a designated-driver program at open parties, as well as providing non-alcoholic drinks. Feather said the Corps of Cadets follows RHA policy for alcohol con sumption. This policy allows students 21 and over to drink in residence halls if they are behind closed doors.
