Voter’s Guide Wednesday • March 4 Tim Duffy Joe Forman Joel Foshea Candidate for Senior Yell Leader Howdy Ags. My name is Tim Duffy, junior yell leader, running for re-election as a senior yell leader. I am a marketing major from Colleyville, Texas, and a proud mem ber of the Corps of Cadets, Company F-2. It has been the biggest privilege and honor this year to serve and represent the Twelfth Man as this year’s junior yell leader. 1 have been proud to represent you at all of those Aggie Mom’s Clubs, elementary schools, and other Aggie interest groups on your behalf. But if there’s one thing that I’ve learned this past year through all of these things, I’ve found that it doesn’t matter what organization you’re in or where you come from, but it has everything to do with what is in your heart. As we get ready for our second year in the Big 12,1 want to show everyone what Aggie Spirit truly is, through my pride, loy alty, class, energy, and devotion to A&M. In short, as your senior yell leader, I want to be able to show everyone what a Fightin’ Texas Aggie is all about. I am so excit ed about next year and what Aggieland has in store for us. Remember to vote and re-elect Tim Duffy for senior yell leader, #7 on your ballot — I’ll make you proud. Thanks and gig ’em. Brandon Meche Candidate for Senior Yell Leader I’m Joe Forman, an economics major and a resident of Fowler Hall. I want to serve you, the l\velfth Man, as Fighting Texas Aggie senior yell leader. Aggies, it feels GREAT to go to Texas A&M ... when you hear the thunder of the Twelfth Man as the Fighting Texas Aggie Band marches onto Kyle Field ... when you feel the heat from the flames of Bonfire right before we beat t.u... or when you’re walking to class and a cute guy or girls says, “Howdy!” Sometimes it hurts too... when you hear the bugles playing Silver Taps... or you’re sitting in G. Rollie White and watch a can dle being lit for a fallen Ag... or when you stare in disbelief at the scoreboard and quietly sing the “'fWelfth Man.” A yell leader must ba willing to lay it ALL on the line, in the good and bad times. He must give his heart, hope and life. He must be able to motivate the Twelfth Man in the thrill of a vic tory and in the pain of a loss. When I’m leading yells next year, I want you to say, “Joe Forman is a GOOD yell leader.” More importantly, I want you to say, “Joe Forman is a GREAT guy”... because he pours his heart out every day for the glory of God and the Love of Aggieland and realizes: It’s not about leading a yell, it’s about leading another heart to the Aggie Spirit! God bless and gig ’em. / Candidate for Senior Yell Leader Howdy! My name is Brandon Meche. I’m a junior marketing major from Beaumont, and a proud member of the Fighting Texas Aggie Corps of Cadets, Squadron 1. I’m asking for your support in re-electing me as senior yell leader. This past year, I have had the extreme privilege and honor as representing you as one of your junior yell leaders. I can’t think of a better school or group of people that 1 would ever want to drive all around the state to talk about other than the Fighting Texas Aggies. Throughout this last year I've experienced so much and learned a lot more about what an Aggie really is and what sets them far beyond anyone else. I’ve stood on the track at football games looking up at the thousands of people yelling so loud for their team that I couldn’t hear myself. I’ve seen little kids’ eyes light up when they were told all about our traditions. And yes, I’ve even seen several Lemon Chill lids soar past my head at the football games. When you vote, elect someone who is wiling to make every sacrifice to represent Texas A&M to the best of their abil ity and who will do whatever it takes to bring all Ags together and above any other university. Re-elect Brandon Meche for senior yell leader, #5 on the ballot. Gig ’em! Richard Rolison Candidate for Senior Yell Leader Kyle Sparkman Candidate for Senior Yell Leader Whoop! My name is Richard Rolison and I’m running for senior yell leader for the Fightin’ Texas Aggie TWelfth Man. I feel that yell leaders have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the community as well as on our campus. Yell leaders repre sent the student body before the Big 12, the state, and the nation. That’s the spirit, integrity, character, everything that makes you proud to be an Aggie. Yell leaders must be willing to give the best of themselves to bring out the best in Texas A&M. Before a yell leader can do that he has to have spirit, he must be willing to live his life the right way rather than the easy way, and be willing to lay it all on the line in order to make a positive impact on someone’s life. Without spirit, there can be no ’fight in’ in the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Spirit. Finally Ags, being a yell leader means unifying the campus by focusing on things that we all have in common, making for mer and current students proud, and passing the spirit on to future Aggies. When you and I look back on 1997,1 hope that we can be as proud as when we look back on 1876. What are you doing to pass along the spirit? I am running for senior yell leader. Just get out and vote.
