The band has about 15 originals in its repertoire. “Right now, we don’t write to gether,” Buckley said. “One of us comes up with an idea, and it’s the bare backbone of the song.” “Personally, I love our songs,” Beadle said. “My personal goal is to make a song out of a Shakespeare an sonnet.” The band plays the occasional cover, but avoids more well-known songs, Buckley said. “The covers we do aren’t mainstream,” he said. “Most are totally obscure.” Fysher’s name came from a sug gestion by an acquaintance of the band, Buckley said. “We racked our brains togeth er, but everything just sounded stupid,” he said. “Finally, our friend came up with ‘Fysher’, and we couldn’t come up with any reason why it was a bad name.
