VOCOM
Continued from Page 1
Gilbert Schorlemmer, a student
worker in the financial aid office
and a political science and eco
nomics major, said VOCOM
should alleviate some of the frus
tration in the financial aid office.
“The lines are avoided,” Schor
lemmer said. “You come here (fi
nancial aid office) and you used to
have to wait in long lines.”
Unlike the registration system,
students can transfer to a human
operator at any time during the
VOCOM process.
“VOCOM is going to facilitate
getting our customers where they
need to be,” Lawson said.
Schorlemmer said the only
drawback of VOCOM is its tie to
the phone registration system.
During peak registration hours,
VOCOM could be inaccessible to
some students, he said.
Lawson said students shfe
use VOCOM to help correctpoii |
tial problems with the system.
“We really need our student
use it so we can find out what lit
that they like, [and] whatitlac |
that they need,” Lawsons
