Tracks like “Greedy Fly," “Insect Kin” and “Cold Contagious” convey the messages desperation, drug abuse and a separation hearts, respectively. In "Insect Kin,” Rossdale sings “You were wide of me just like the English sun/You caught the light again in a perfect way/The biggest threat of all is in the alleyway. And while these messages of social awarem are good attempts, the overall tone of the alb should be regarded as an average recording. Razorblade Suitcase will not be the last, one hears from Bush, but the group is have to work harder on their next release to keep their reputation on high ground. Bush is a formidable, alternative-British- band, but the group forgot repeating success does not mean repeating songs. C+ . 9 -James Fran isi . goingtol The musical bushwackers are back, bringing with them their familiar sounds in a new album, Razorblade Suitcase. While the title may suggest some hardcore sounds of guitars and drum solos, the group has simply rehashed the sound found on Six teen Stone, which made them popular in the first place. Although the tracks on Razorblade Suitcase are more somber than those on their debut, Bush will not be seeing a grand following of fans on this endeavor. Razorblade Suitcase^s filled with 13 tracks of garage-band sounds, a calmer version of the band’s songs “Little Things” and “Every thing Zen.” The group’s first single from the album, “Swallowed,” is as good as the album gets. It’s a love song in an alternative-construed way, one that mixes a catchy chorus with de scriptive lyrics. On the track, the band’s lead singer, Gavin Rossdale, sings, “Hey you said you would love to try some/hey you said you would love to die some/in the middle of a world on a fishhook/ you’re the wave, you’re the wave, you’re the wave.” Do not think the other tracks do not de- Clos 'ersj Bush A % y odest, friend .words ise to describe son.
