Jeter batted .314 with 10 home runs and 78 RBIs in the regular season, then helped the Yankees win the World Series just four months af ter his 22nd birthday. Castillejos Continued from Page 7 Head Coach G. Guerrieri said the former walk-on has blos somed into an excellent player. “She’s been the backbone of the midfield, which means she’s been the backbone of our team,” Guerrieri said. “We pivot a lot of our attack and a lot of our de fense around her position.” This season, the senior mid fielder has continued to support the potent A&M offensive attack. In 20 games, Castillejos has scored two goals, in addition to posting seven assists. Guerrieri said Castillejos’ sound soccer tactics have been keys to the team’s success. “She’s tactically very smart, as far as her awareness of what’s go ing on out on the field,” Guerrieri said. “And her leadership ability has been a big part of our success.” Castillejos said she has been honored this season to have the chance to play on the same team with her sister Linda. “It’s been a lot of fun,” Castillejos said. “We’re four years apart, so we’ve never gotten the chance to play with each other in any sport.
