A portion of the money funds the Brazos Valley Maternal and Child Health Center to publish Spanish prenatal care literature. Spies said the efforts of the March of Dimes benefit everyone, and a definite need for the work exists. Babies born in 23 other countries have a better chance of living to their first birth day than children born in the United States, she said. “People need to start thinking about healthy lifestyles now to have healthy ba bies later,” Spies said. “Everybody wants to have healthy babies.” What’s Up?
