HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP) — Ottis
Elwood Toole killed 6-year-old Adam
Walsh in 1981 and then showed his
traveling companion — convicted
murderer Henry Lee Lucas — the re
mains of the boy that have never
been found, Lucas said Wednesday.
‘‘It wasn't completely decom
posed,’ Lucas, awaiting execution for
a Texas killing, said of the headless
remains Toole exposed for him in a
shallow grave. "He kicked it uncov
ered and showed it to me. I got sick
about it. I said, ‘Let’s get the hell out
of here.’ I left. I never heard no more
about it until '83.
“What I heard is he (Toole)
showed police where the head was
at. That’s what a police officer told
me. Whether that was true, I don't
know. I said I didn’t know. I didn't
want to be involved. I let it go.”
