Burke Jr., head of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science in Texas A&M University Health Science Cen ter’s College of Medicine, has been named to the National Board of Medical Examiners. The NBME prepares and ad ministers the three-step United States Medical Licensing Exami nation, which all physicians must pass before they can be licensed to practice medicine in the U.S. The 80-member board is made up of representatives from med ical schools, state licensing boards, students, medical resi dents, the federal government and the public.
