CONGRATULATIONS
COMMANDANT’S TROPHY WINNERS
MATT SEGREST ‘95 AND BRAD TIPPETT ‘95
The Commandant’s Trophy was initiated in 1957 to recognize members of the Platoon
Leaders Class (PLC) who distinguish themselves at Officer Candidates School. Recipients of the
trophies are those candidates who attain the highest leadership, physical and academic averages in
their respective increments.
Matt Segrest won the Commandant’s Trophy for finishing number one at the PLC Combined
Course this summer. Segrest is the second Aggie to win this award, Tippett being the first.
Brad Tippett won the Commandant’s Trophy for finishing number one at PLC Seniors Course,
first increment. Tippett also won the trophy last year and is only the eighth person to win the
trophy twice.
The Trophies will be presented during the University of Houston game on October 28 by
Major General M.T. Hopgood, Jr. ‘65.
