By now, you’ve probably all heard the "■‘.. term “Information .^.^-'" Superhighway.” If you've been tossing it aside as “just another buzzword," you may wish to recon sider. A form of the Information Superhighway really does exist. It’s known as the Internet, a worldwide network of computers. As a student, faculty, or staff nrember at Texas A&M, you have access to an abundance of information on it. Tools such as Gopher and Mosaic make finding information on the Internet as simple as “point-and-click." There are so many information resources available via the Internet that we could never list them all. However, here is a short list of services that you might find useful. You can find these from the Texas A&M Gopher's Main Menu by looking around under the menu options Texas A&.M University (TAMU) Information and Browse Information by Subject, or by doing Veronica, particular resource, or subject searches. For assistance in using Gopher, contact a CIS Help Desk or call 845-8300.
