In an “Entertain ment Tonight” interview to be broadcast Tuesday, she said Reynolds behaved er ratically be cause of drugs. “He’s like an unruly child most of the time,” Hall said. “Prozac’s supposed to keep everything on an even keel, but if you take far more than whafs prescribed and you couple that with Diurex, which is a diet pill for energy, and Valium, it’s hard for anybody to have any mental or physical control.” Reynolds spokesman Logan Fleming didn’t immediately re turn calls Monday. Aiwextijiuls in Aggill/lm) By Greg Working with Gleason a real honeymoon LOS ANGELES (AP) - Au drey Meadows says working with Jackie Gleason was a honeymoon. “I really wanted to correct a lot of the misconceptions about Jackie,” she said of her new book, “Love, Alice: My Life as a Honeymooner. ” “I wanted the fans ... to get the full picture of the man, the joy that was in him, the fun that was in him. The fact that he was not a tyrant and a difficult boss. He was the easiest, most mar velous person to work with,” she said in an interview in Monday’s Los Angeles Daily News. Gleason’s biographers have depicted the star of “The Honey- mooners” as tyrannical and mean-spirited. Stunt for ‘Die Hard 3’ finished in two days CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - It took two days, perfect weath er and a couple of dummies standing in for Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson to pull off the centerpiece stunt of “Die Hard 3.” Charleston Harbor was filled with boats, and 100 movie crew members crossed their fingers for the big moment Sunday on the John P. Grace Memorial Bridge: A freighter cruises under the bridge. It snares a loop of cable and takes a pickup truck and the dummies into the water. After one failed attempt the day before, the filmmakers got prime weather for the stunt — slate-gray skies and a light drizzle. Willis Douglas’ son arrested on cocaine charges ROSEMEAD, Calif. (AP) - Kirk Douglas’ youngest son was arrested for investigation of co caine charges after arguing with a restaurant manager. The argument Sunday was over a state law that cuts off the sale of alcoholic beverages at 2 a.m., the sheriff’s department said in a statement. Eric Douglas, 36, “had appar ently attempted to purchase some alcoholic beverages after 2 a.m. PDT, and was arguing with the manager whether or not the time was pertinent due to the switch back to standard time,” the statement said. Daylight-saving time ended at 2 a.m. Sunday and clocks were turned back one hour to standard time. Douglas was booked for inves tigation of being under the influ ence of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance. He was freed on bail. Douglas has pursued an act ing career, appearing in “The Golden Child” and “The Flamin go Kid.” In 1992, he got five days in jail for kicking a police officer. In 1991, he was sentenced to com munity service after pleading no contest to assaulting twd women in a building where he worked.
