Well take a break now with the Trojans leading by seven.” Instead of having a time out for commercials every six minutes, the networks could place the logo of an advertiser in the top right-hand corner of the screen. Every so often, the commentators could remind the audience who is sponsoring that particular point of the game. “It seems that the Wiscon sin quarterback is going to pro pose to his girlfriend right here during the game. Well tell you what she said when we return from this commercial break.” When a team actually does call a time-out, the net work could then break for commercials but only for the length of the time-out. The game would be over quicker, but it would be able to con tinue with its natural flow. “Rush Limbaugh and Bill Clinton are about to hug right here at the Cotton Bowl. But just wait and see what deals you can with your area Ford dealers.” Everything was perfect Saturday night in Baton Rouge. It was a football game at its finest. In the LSU’s next possession, Keith Mitchell sacked Howard for a nine yard loss to force a punt. But Ray Mickens fumbled at the A&M 25 after a 17-yard punt return. LSU’s Jermaine Sharp scored four plays later on a 13-yard run to bring the Tigers within two. LSU drove 64 yards to the A&M 21, most of the yardage coming off a 51 yard catch by Eric Smith. But Donovan Greer intercepted Howard’s pass in the endzone to save the Aggies. An interception the other way, though, cost the Aggies the lead. With 18 seconds remaining in the third quarter, Tory James intercepted Pullig’s pass and ran it back 24 yards to put LSU ahead, 13-9. Pullig was not affected by his interception and drove A&M for nine points on two possessions in the fourth quarter. “I wasn’t thinking anything after it (the inter ception) happened.,” Pullig said. “That play was over. They are going to have big plays and we are going to make big plays. We made enough good plays to win.” That they did, as Bryant added a field goal with 10:28 remaining in the game to bring A&M within one. Two possessions later McElroy scampered 59 yards through a hole opened by right tackle Hunter Goodwin to give the Aggiei the lead for good. “We pretty much knew that they like to blitz a lot on third down and lond and second and medi um,” Pullig said. “He (McElroy) just broke a tackle and he was gone” CONTACT LENSES ONLY QUALITY NAME BRANDS (Bausch & Lomb, Ciba, Barnes-Hind-Hydrocurve) Disposable Contact Lenses Available $118°o TOTAL COST., includes $ EYE EXAM, FREE CARE KIT, AND TWO PAIR OF STANDARD FLEXIBLE WEAR SOFT CONTACT LENSES. 149 00 TOTAL COST. .INCLUDES EYE EXAM, FREE CARE KIT, AND FOUR PAIR OF STANDARD FLEXIBLE WEAR SOF T CONTACT' LENSES.
