"We want to highlight the programs that are nailable on campus," said Judy Reising, recreation- jlsports assistant director. "A lot of programs are free of charge and we want to increase the awareness of what's available for health and recreation." A.P. Beutel Health Center, Aggie R.E.A.C.H. and IheUniversity Police Department will be available to discuss health precautions and property safety. Forty groups are registered for the fair, which pro motes overall healthy lifestyles. Some organizations participating include the Ath- s letic Ticket Office, Campus Sports, Food Services •nd MSC Bowling & Games. TAMU Outdoors and other intramural sports clubs will have exhibits and demonstrations of sports such as fencing and gymnastics. Students can play volleyball on one of several vol leyball courts that will be set up on Simpson Drill Field from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Also, a drawing will be held for a trip to the 1994 Spring National Beach Volleyball Championship. The organization will be giving away hats, T- shirts and posters to students every hour. Cpl. Betty LeMay, a crime specialist with UPD, said officers will be stamping identification on bicy cles to help prevent thefts. The UPD will also be available to answer any questions on safety and security. James Welford, associate director of recreational sports, said he anticipates 6,000 to 7,000 students to attend the event. "We want to make sure students are aware of what we have to offer." he said. "It's a grand start for a new school year." 4 What's Up Friday Singing Cadets: are having open rehearsal in the MSC Fla- groomat 5pm.
