Sure Dallas needs a big offensive lineman, but they should only have to give up the 11th and 12th picks to move up. That would leave the last pidk to start building a solid offensive line to surround Aikman, Smith, Wright and possibly Ismail. Or course this is just the opinion of a diehard Cowboys fan. One of many fans who suffered greatly through the 1-15 debacle that was the 1989 season and rejoiced last season as the new-look Dallas team exhibited some of that old last-minute magic. Signing someone with the marketability and the athletic ability of the Rocket would be one the last cogs Cowboy head coach Jimmy Johnson would need to get Dallas rolling toward a playoff berth in 1991. If the Cowboys do trade up and choose to bypass Ismail, there are other viable candidates that would fit in quite well. The defensive line still needs a big time pass-rusher. Either Miami's Russell Maryland, Colorado's Kanavis McGhee or Mississippi's Kelvin Pritchett could do the job. However, if the Cowboys pass up on a chance to take Ismail, they will forever be second- guessed. Much in the same way they are still hounded for not taking Miami's Dan Marino a few years ago.
