It may soon be time for Scott to pack his 1986 Cy Young Award, memories of a no-hitter and a di vision title and close the door on one of the most successful eras in Houston Astros history. 'T'm the last guy here, nobody is left from when I first came/' Scott said, looking around a locker room filled with young faces. "That would make it a little easier (to leave) but it's still tough to leave a good situation." Scott, who arrived in 1983, and pitcher Jim Deshaies are the only celebrants left from the As tros' 1986 Western Division crown. The others have been swept out in a cost-cutting, youth movement. "It would be a sentimental thing to leave, I love Houston and 1 don't want to leave but if I do, you have to go on," Scott said. "My career turned around there. We had some great years, had a lot of fun and made a lot of real good friends." Scott pitched a no-hitter Sept. 25, 1986 that beat San Fran cisco 2-0 and clinched the divi sion title. The Astros then lost to the New York Mets in the Na tional League playoffs. Scott led the major leagues in strikeouts (306) innings pitched (275.1) ^pd earned run average (2.22) an^ won the Cy Young Award.
