Paid Advertisement FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: February 28, 1 991 NEW TEXAS RESTAURANT FEATURES GIANT REPLICA OF BERLIN WALL (College Station, TX.)-Founded next to the University of California Santa Barbara campus, Freebird's World Burrito recently completed the opening of its second restaurant in College Staion, Texas. The Company has a dream to bring its three-pound burritos and the world wide event of the tearing down of the Berlin Wall to an anomalous small college town in rural southeast Texas. Featured in the Restaurant is a $50,000, fifty foot long re-enactment of the Berlin Wall. Crashing through the wall on his "Easy Rider" Harley Davidson is Freebird, the character. He is seen holding a luminous Monster Burrito in hand which represents the irrepressible dominance of the free American spirit over the physical suppression of Communism. The Restaurant's Grand Opening and ribbon cutting ceremonies will be on Friday, March 1,1 991, beginning at 11:30 a.m. Original pieces of the Berlin Wall will be given away every hour, on the hour, all day long. All proceeds from that days sales will be donated to Operation Desert Support and earmarked for families of American soldiers fighting in Iraq. Freebird's is owned and managed by present and recently graduated college students.
