Texas A&M forward Anthony Ware looks on in disbelief after the
Aggies fell to Baylor 90-85 Saturday. The Aggies led 83-80
with 3:07 remaining.

Aggies the most is location.
Arkansas has won 16 straight
games at Barnhill Arena and 30 of
its last 31. The Hogs have lost only
19 games in the last 17 seasons at
their on-campus home.
A&M is 2-7 away from G. Rollie
White Coliseum this season.
Davis said his team will need great
play from the guards, to escape UA’s
full-court pressure and then execute
the half-court offense. Guards Lynn
Suber and Brooks Thompson, the
only Aggies with experience playing
the Hogs at Fayetteville, will Fill that
role.
Davis says the game will most
likely be a learning experience.
“They understand the type of en
vironment that they are going into,”
he said. “We’ve just got to keep our
composure, and Fight off Arkansas
runs.
“It doesn’t matter what the score
is, we’ve just got to get ourselves bet
ter during the game.”

A&M bows to Hogs
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) —
Delmonica DeHorney’s 28 points led
the 1 Ith-ranked Lady Razorbacks of
Arkansas to a 90-66 rout Tuesday
night of Southwest Conference rival
Texas A&M.
“It was Del’s kind of game,” Ar
kansas coach John Sutherland said.
“A&M played the kind of defense
that allowed us to (get the ball) inside
to her. We spread the court and Del
was open.”
The win by Arkansas (16-2, 6-0)
extended its home winning streak to
15 games.
Texas A&M (8-8, 3-3) held the
lead briefly in the First half. But a 12-
2 surge by Arkansas gave the Lady
Razorbacks a 24-14 lead with 9:54
remaining before intermission. Ar
kansas led 45-36 at halftime.
For Texas A&M, Vanessa Edwards
topped the scoring with 17 points,
followed by Yvonne Hill with 15,
and 12 each from Sheri Dillard and
Dena Russo.
Former Dodger Drysdale
arrested for drunk driving
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Hall of
Fame pitcher Don Drysdale is sched
uled to be arraigned Feb. 11 on a
charge of felony drunken driving
stemming from a traffic accident
that injured a woman, police said.
Drysdale, 54, was arrested Mon
day night about 8:30 p.m. PST after
the car he was driving collided with
another vehicle. Drysdale, who was
alone in his car, was making a left
turn, police officer Tom Ohmer
said.
A breath test after the accident
showed Drysdale, an announcer for
the Los Angeles Dodgers, had a
blood-alcohol level of . 19, more than
twice the legal limit of .08, Ohmer
said.
A 24-year-old woman driving the
other car suffered bruises and abra
sions and was taken to St. Joseph
Hospital in Burbank, Ohmer said.
Drysdale was booked and posted
$5,000 bail a few hours later, police
said.
Drysdale pitched for the Dodgers
from 1956 to 1969 and was inducted
into baseball’s Hall of Fame in 1984.
He had a 209-167 record and a 2.95
ERA.
The 1962 Cy Young Award win
ner, he pitched 58 consecutive
scoreless innings in 1968, a record
that stood until Orel Hershiser of
the Dodgers surpassed it by one in
1988.
Before joining the Dodgers’ an
nouncing team in 1988, Drysdale
worked for ABC-TV as an an
nouncer.
Horns pound Raiders 83-65
LUBBOCK (AP) — The inside-outside attack of Locksley Collie
and Courtney Jeans helped the Texas Longhorns defeat Texas
Tech 83-65 in a Southwest Conference game Tuesday night.
Collie was unstoppable inside, scoring 26 points, including the
Longhorns’ final 12, and grabbing 13 rebounds. Jeans added 22
points on 9-for-12 shooting from the outside.
Texas (11-5 overall, 5-! in the SWC) won without leading scorer
Joey Wright, who missed the game with a pulled hamstring. Tech,
in losing its fifth straight conference game, fell to 5-14 and 2-5.
T ech opened the second half with an 11-4 run to tie the score
43-all, and trailed only 63-60 with less than seven minutes to play.
But the Red Raiders went cold in the final six minutes and
Texas finished the game with a 20-5 run to seal the victory.
Steve Miles led Tech with 22 points and Derex Butts added 10
for the Red Raiders.
The Raiders were playing their first game without star forward
Will Flemons, w'ho reaggravated a stress fracture in his left foot at
Houston Saturday and will miss the rest of the season.
Without the 6-foot-9, 225-pound Flemons, who led the SWC in
rebounding last year as a freshman, Tech was outmuscled inside,
with Texas outrebounding the Red Raiders 38-29.
Texas towered over the Red Raiders, whose tallest player, Miles,
is only 6-8. Tech was forced to rely on 3-point bombs to stay close in
the first lialf, and the Longhorns led 39-32 at intermission.

Famous U.S. Women's Ski Team Diet
During the non-snow off season the U.S. Women's Alpine Ski Team
members used the "SkiTeanf’diet to lose 20 pounds in two weeks. That's right —
20poundsinl4 days! r fhe basis ofthe diet is chemical food action and was devised
by a famous Colorado physician especially for the U.S. Ski Team. Normal energy
is maintained (very important!) while reducing. You keep "full" —no starvation
— because the diet is designed that way. It's a diet that is easy to follow whether
you work, travel or stay at home.
This is, honestly, a fantastically successful diet. If it weren't, the U.S.
Women's Ski Team wouldn't be permitted to use it! Right? So, give yourself the
same break the U.S. Ski Team gets. Lose weight the scientific, proven way. Even
if you've tried all the other diets, you owe it to yourself to try the U.S. Women's Ski
Team Diet. That is, if you really do want to lose 20 pounds in two weeks. Order
today. Tear this out as a reminder.
Send only $10.00 ($10.50 for Rush Service) - to: SlimQuik, P.O.Box 103,
Dept. 2R, Hayden, ID 83835. Don't order unless you want to lose 20 pounds in
two weeks! Because that's what the Ski Team Diet will do. © 1990
