day-long symposium titled “Mul
ticultural Retention: Coming to
Grips with Diverse Learning Sty
les” Thursday in 601 Rudder
Tower.
The symposium begins at 9
a.m. with a panel of A&M person
nel who will discuss “Multicultu
ral: Do I understand what it
Means?” and “Successful Pro
grams at the Department/College
Levels.”
Panel members will be Dr. Pat
ricia Larke, from the Department
of Educational Curriculum and
Instruction, Dr. Filomeno Maldo
nado, from the College of Medi
cine, and Dr. Christine Stanley,
an instructor in the Center for
Teaching Excellence.
Small group discussions on
both topics will follow comments
by panel members.

Dr. James Anderson, a professor
of psychology at Indiana Univer
sity of Pennsylvania and an au
