The majority of the vehicles belonged to Fireman’s Training School participants. • A Toshiba portable personal stereo was stolen from the Kleberg Building. • A College Station man was ar rested after officers observed him hiding in the seat of his vehicle out side the Grounds Maintenance Com pound. He had siphoned gas from one of the State owned vehicles parked inside the compound. MISDEMEANOR THEFT: • A student who fell asleep in the MSC Flag Room reported that when she awoke she realized her purse had been stolen from beside where she was sleeping. • A student sleeping on a bench outside Evans Library reported his backpack stolen. A witness was able to provide officers with the name of the suspect. • A student was caught stealing books from the Engineering Physics Building. • A Panasonic speaker phone was stolen from Harrington Tower. • Several wallets were stolen from locked lockers in the Read Building, while some wallets were left and only the money was taken. Their locks were also stolen. • A black male was observed struggling to take a thirty gallon trash container out of the MSC. It was later realized by the observer that the man had stolen a Goldstar 13” color television set from the em ployee break room. • A Class of ’89 ring was stolen from the first floor men’s room of the Harrington Education Center. The owner had taken off the ring while washing his hands. MINOR IN POSSESSION: • A student was issued a citation for an MIP when she was pulled over for running two stop signs. DISORDERLY CONDUCT: • Police broke up a pushing and shoving fight between four students on Hogg Street. DISCHARGE OF FIREWORKS: • Two students were setting off fireworks from Hobby Hall toward Hogg Street. Subjects were identi fied and released. The incident was referred to Student Affairs. BURGLARY OF A HABITA TION: • A student who left his apart ment unlocked had several pieces of jewelry stolen, including his A&M ’85 class ring. The juveniles said they were paid by someone who works at Pizza Classics to give out the flyers. The restuarant was contacted and informed of the necessity of receiving a permit for any form of solicitation. BURGLARY OF A MOTOR VE HICLE: • A student reported that her car was broken into in Parking Area 9 by someone breaking out the vent win dow and unlocking the dbor. A Mid land CB radio and a hand-held spot light were taken.
