Now they are holding the bag for at least $100,000 and wondering how they could have been fooled. Morris was able to lease, furnish and equip eight suites of offices across the city, rent a $2,500-a- month house with a pool without even producing a security deposit and run up limousine bills of up to $500 a day for two months, all by fast talking. Reagan Martin, the attorney for and father of Billy Martin, who says Morris owes him almost $15,000 for limousine service, said, “In a market where we would all like to have someone come in and lease up space and conduct legitimate business, people are willing to listen and hear things they want to be true.” Morris had the name MacAn- drews & Forbes in gold letters on the entrance of his rented office on the 10th floor of the Plaza of the Ameri- later agreed to a preliminary injunc tion.
