If you’re a student at Texas A&M, there are
three sure things in life: death, taxes and the
fact that your registration will be blocked if you
have three or more parking tickets. The men
and women responsible for writing those tick
ets are perhaps the most visible part of the
University Police, but there are others working
behind the scenes. For example, university
detectives working undercover last spring
foiled the attempted theft of a student’s car
and in the process helped break an auto theft
ring working out of Houston.
Parking patrol officer Raymond Johnson

Police Department functions in our cover
photo. Johnson joined the University Police
2V2 months ago. He says he writes from 75 to
100 tickets on an average day.
