The new structure, which takes effect May 28 and has no expira tion date, contains a 21-day ad vance purchase discount not pre viously offered and doubles the cancellation fee on American’s, cheapest tickets to 50 percent. Under American’s new struc ture, an “Easy Saver” fare will of fer 20 percent discounts off the regular price with a 7-day ad vance purchase requirement and a 10 percent cancellation fee. The “Supersaver” offers a 40 percent discount with a 14-day advance purchase and a 10 per cent cancellation fee; the “Special Saver” offers a 65 percent dis count, 21-day advance purchase, 25 percent cancellation fee; and the “Ultimate Supersaver” offers a 70 percent discount, 30-day ad vance purchase and 50 percent cancellation fee.
