Sully’s Symposium Wednesday.
The candidates also agreed that
Student Government must begin to
concern itself more with students.
Marty Roos, a junior accounting
major, said student awareness must

is to be imporved.
Roos said he wants to developed a
leadership training program de
signed to increase student partici
pation in Student Government and
raise student awareness.
Brett Shine, a junior political sci
ence major, stressed his experience
with Student Government.
Shine said effective leadership is
needed in order to run a student
government that has the best inter
ests of students in mind.
Elections will be Wednesday with
polls located in the Memorial Stu
dent Center, the Pavilion and
Blocker from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and in
front of Sterling C. Evans library

Correction
In article in Wednesday’s Battalion incorrectly reported that die
as A&M Board of Regents approved a $2i per semester interna*
al student service fee.
In fact, the approved tee was f 12 per semester.
The Battalion regrets the error.
Investment in seven principal
Latin American countries has
dropped sharply as a result of the
debt crisis, according to the Inter-
American Development Bank.
By 1984, the ratio of investment
as a percentage of gross national
product had fallen about 7 percent
age points below' the 1980-81 aver
age.
The actual ratio varied widely by
country, from virtually no change in
Colombia to a drop of 11 percentage
points in Mexico.
