The candidates also agreed that Student Government must begin to concern itself more with students. Marty Roos, a junior accounting major, said student awareness must be increased if Student Government is to be imporved. Roos said he wants to developed a leadership training program de signed to increase student partici pation in Student Government and raise student awareness. Brett Shine, a junior political sci ence major, stressed his experience with Student Government. Shine said effective leadership is needed in order to run a student government that has the best inter ests of students in mind. Elections will be Wednesday with polls located in the Memorial Stu dent Center, the Pavilion and Blocker from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and in front of Sterling C. Evans library from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Correction In article in Wednesday’s Battalion incorrectly reported that die as A&M Board of Regents approved a $2i per semester interna* al student service fee. In fact, the approved tee was f 12 per semester. The Battalion regrets the error. Investment in seven principal Latin American countries has dropped sharply as a result of the debt crisis, according to the Inter- American Development Bank. By 1984, the ratio of investment as a percentage of gross national product had fallen about 7 percent age points below' the 1980-81 aver age. The actual ratio varied widely by country, from virtually no change in Colombia to a drop of 11 percentage points in Mexico.
