Monday, December 3, 1984/The Battalion/Page 13 Ags (continued from page 11) Rich Siler walked into the dressing room doing an exaggerated yawn. No big deal. Texas A&M President Frank E. Vandiver stood guard at the door, hugging and slapping each player as they exploded into the room. Van diver must have had sore arms by the end of the night. The list of Aggie heroes was cer tainly long enough. The Aggie offensive line gave Stump better protection than Prudential Insurance and opened up immense holes for running hacks Anthony Toney and Thomas Sand ers. Sanders carried 15 times for 85 yards and Toney ran 20 times for 80 yards. A&M Defensive Coordinator R.C. Slocum, who was hoisted into the air by the players af ter the final seconds had evaporated from the scoreboard, seemed especially pleased by the win. “Let’s go out and beat the hell out of them again,” raved Slocum. Even Sherrill, who has had his back to the wall for most of the sea son, even seemed ready to do some thing he hasn’t had the luxury of doing — relaxing. “This is the kind of game we were waiting for,” Sherrill said. “This is the kind of a game that turns things around. I knew things were turning around. This is what we need to build on for next season.” Later, wandering down the jammed sidewalk of 6th street saun tered a smiling Rich Siler. The crowd just parted around him as we walked along. Siler seemed to be try ing on the fit of being a winner. “We came, we saw, we kicked ass.” Business Assistance Services Offering: Word processing, typing, re sumes, theses, dissertations and re ports.
