Columbia Pictures is conduct ing a nation-wide talent search for the lead in an upcoming ma jor motion picture. The picture "Sylvester,” is being produced by Martin Jurow. / The lead part is a 16-17 year- old orphan named Charlie. She's a groom who wants to "make it,” by training an old horse — Sylvester — for the Olympic trials. Charlie is a spi rited, spunky and wisecracking romantic. The auditions will be at the Westin Galleria (5060 W. Alaba ma, take the Westheimer exit off 610 West) on Saturday and Sun day from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. both days. Applicants aren't re quired to be 16 or 17, but must look that age. To audition, appli cants must bring a photo and a brief resume. After a short inter view, the casting director, Pat Orseph, will give something to read to those she thinks might have a chance for the part.
