The Memorial Student Cen

to forward an $8,500 request to
the MSC Enrichment Board to
expand the MSC computer
system.
The MSC computer system
was originally budgeted for
$14,000. The additional funds,
if approved, will be used to de
velop a central information cen
ter on MSC contributors, MSC
Associate Director James Ran
dolph said.
The system for storing infor

$300,000 is raised by 14 diffe
rent committees, and each com
mittee has its own system for
organizing information about
people and organizations that
donate funds.
For example, he said, one
committee may list contributors
in alphabetical order while
another groups them geog
raphically. It takes a consider
able amount of extra effort for
committees to make sure they
aren’t contacting the same peo
ple for different purposes.
Randolph said expanding the
data base and establishing a cen
tral information file would solve
this problem.
“This is the next step that is
required for us to continue
growing in respect to fundrais
ing,” he said.
The council will forward the
request to the MSC Enrichment
Board, which approves all re
quests for fundraising.
