About half the teams in the National Football League cur rently have their own computer and a dozen other NFL clubs will be utilizing a system made by the same company selected by the Cowboys. So with brilliant teen-agers breaking into computers around the country these days, does Schramm fear any such in cidents might take place with the Cowboys. “We have excellent security with our system,” he said. “We have all the codes you would want. “But even if somebody did break in, they wouldn’t under stand what they found. We don’t put game plans in the computer. We put stuff from other teams in there.” The Cowboys are spending their first full week in Dallas, having broken their training camp in Thousand Oaks, Calif. And as work progressed for the club’s final exhibition game against the Houston Oilers Saturday night, coach Tom Landry made a series of obser vations: — Defensive end Harvey Martin, he said, was not playing up to his capabilities. “He needs to come on,” said Landry. “You have to work harder when you are older. You have to work with more determination when you get past 30.” — Rookie punter John War ren will come under close scru tiny during the final week of preseason to determine if the punting chores will be taken away from Danny White. “Out in camp,” said Landry, “Warren was really booming them when I would see him each morning. We felt down. Then we came here and The Pirates and starter John Candelaria appeared to be on their way to an easy victory in the first game as Candelaria took a 5-1 lead and a six-hitter into the ninth. But Candelaria gave up two quick singles to Jerry Mum- phrey and Alan Ashby, and pinch-hitter Denny Walling fol lowed with a three-run homer to pull Houston within 5-4. Cecilio Guante came in for Candelaria, and Terry Puhl greeted him with a double. After Guante got Bill Doran to pop out, Pittsburgh manager Chuck Tanner calletl for Kent Tekulve, who gave up a single to Dickie Thon. Tanner then brought in lefthander Rod Scurry and he struck out pinch-hitter Jose Cruz. However, Ray Knight then laced a 3-0 pitch to left, scoring Puhl and Thon. .Bnor the ant.
