1 ootsie: Dustin Hoffman stars in

cult role ever — an actress. PC.
Ecstasy Girls: Another in the fine
line of Campus porno flicks. XXX.
MSC Aggie
Cinema
845-1515
An Officer and a Gentleman:
Richard Gere and Lou Gosset jr. are
only two of the many fine actors that
led this film to the Academy

ing. Friday 7:30 and 9:45 p.m. Rud
der Theater. Saturday 7:30 p.m.
Rudder Auditorium. PG.

Plitt Cinema

Vjandhi: The film traces 56 of the
79 years of Mahatma Gandhi's life.
Gandhi was a man from India
whose efforts on behalf of his peo
ple won him the designation of
"Great Soul." It's a must to see this
portrayal of a legend. This film won
Oscars for best director, best film,
and best actor — among others. PG.
The Meaning of Life: Monty
Python's latest contribution to the
American movie scene. It promises
to be even funnier than any of the
previous MP movies. Be sure and
see this representation of British
humor. R.
Rocky Horror Picture Show:
What happens when the all-
American couple meets a transex
ual? Watch this classic cult film and
find out. Midnight. R.
When the Screaming Starts:
Another one of those million-plus
horror films. The screaming starts
when you enter the theater and it
may be for a refund. R.
Manor East
823-8300
The Man From Snowy River:
Kirk Douglas stars in this western
about a boy suddenly alone in the
world who helps a girl struggling
with life. In Dolby btereo. PG.
Spring Break: This is a summer
teen film upgraded for college stu
dents. It glorifies the pursuits of
four young men on the beaches of
Ft. Lauderdale. You will either
laugh or cry at this amazing film. R.
tmw
Raiders of the Lost Ark: This is
the classic adventure which stars
the ever-lovable Harrison Ford. Go
see it (again). PG.
Post Oak:
764-0616
Flashdance: A woman who
works in the male world of construc
tion and dances her nights away is
the the premise of this movie, the
most promising aspect is that Irene
Cara (Fame) sings the title cut. R.
Local Hero: The question that in
spires this movie is what happens
when a Houston executive trades
places with an Irish one. PG.
Bad Boys: A realistic venture into
the lives of adolescents. This film
can be compared to The Outsiders
although it is not as good. PG.
Schulman Six
775-2468
Lone Wolf Mcquade: This is a
Chuck Norris and David Carradine
film. If there is any reason for seeing
this movie, it's because these two
are in a film rated less than R. PG.
Table for Five: Jon Voight makes
another "lets feel sorry for the guy"
movie. In this story, he takes his
kids on a cruise to meet their future
stepmother, but halfway through
the cruise the children's real mother
dies and the tears begin. PG.
The Outsiders: Directed by Fran
cis Coppola and starring Matt Dil
lon, this film lends itself to a certain
reality with which people of the real
world can relate. The film has been
adapted from the popular S.E. Hin
ton novel of the same name. R.
High Road to China: An adven
ture film with as little adventure for
the viewer as a good ol' Saturday
matinee movie. Stars Tom Selleck in
his big screen debut. PG.
Losing It: The sneak preview for
this new film will be held Saturday
at 9:30 p.m.
V alley Girl: Like, first there was
a song, then, like, millions of books
and, like, now the movie — fer sure.
This is, you know, the latest effort to
chronicle the life of the Valley Girl
(ohmigod!). R. How Grody.
Skyway Twin
Drive-In
822-3300
Screwballs: What an appropriate
title for this classic film. R.
Six Pack: Kenny Rogers stars in
this film about a race car driver who
takes in six children. This movie
plays on your sentiment — unfor
tunately you will j^robably be only
sentimentally sad. PG.
House on Sorority Row:
Another horror movie with a rather
unusual concept. Here, the sorority
girls are commiting the fiendish
crimes. It's doubtful that this movie
would make it past rush — the film
just isn't the right type. R.
Incubus: This is the horror film
which teams up children and de
mons, a combination better than
Laurel and Hardv. R.
