Plitt Cinema i&n 846-6714 Vjandhi: The film traces 56 of the 79 years of Mahatma Gandhi's life. Gandhi was a man from India whose efforts on behalf of his peo ple won him the designation of "Great Soul." It's a must to see this portrayal of a legend. This film won Oscars for best director, best film, and best actor — among others. PG. The Meaning of Life: Monty Python's latest contribution to the American movie scene. It promises to be even funnier than any of the previous MP movies. Be sure and see this representation of British humor. R. Rocky Horror Picture Show: What happens when the all- American couple meets a transex ual? Watch this classic cult film and find out. Midnight. R. When the Screaming Starts: Another one of those million-plus horror films. The screaming starts when you enter the theater and it may be for a refund. R. Spring Break: This is a summer teen film upgraded for college stu dents. It glorifies the pursuits of four young men on the beaches of Ft. Lauderdale. You will either laugh or cry at this amazing film. R. tmw Raiders of the Lost Ark: This is the classic adventure which stars the ever-lovable Harrison Ford. Go see it (again). PG. Post Oak: 764-0616 Flashdance: A woman who works in the male world of construc tion and dances her nights away is the the premise of this movie, the most promising aspect is that Irene Cara (Fame) sings the title cut. R. Local Hero: The question that in spires this movie is what happens when a Houston executive trades places with an Irish one. PG. Bad Boys: A realistic venture into the lives of adolescents. This film can be compared to The Outsiders although it is not as good. PG. Schulman Six 775-2468 Lone Wolf Mcquade: This is a Chuck Norris and David Carradine film. If there is any reason for seeing this movie, it's because these two are in a film rated less than R. PG. Table for Five: Jon Voight makes another "lets feel sorry for the guy" movie. In this story, he takes his kids on a cruise to meet their future stepmother, but halfway through the cruise the children's real mother dies and the tears begin. PG. The Outsiders: Directed by Fran cis Coppola and starring Matt Dil lon, this film lends itself to a certain reality with which people of the real world can relate. The film has been adapted from the popular S.E. Hin ton novel of the same name. R. High Road to China: An adven ture film with as little adventure for the viewer as a good ol' Saturday matinee movie. Stars Tom Selleck in his big screen debut. PG. Losing It: The sneak preview for this new film will be held Saturday at 9:30 p.m. V alley Girl: Like, first there was a song, then, like, millions of books and, like, now the movie — fer sure. This is, you know, the latest effort to chronicle the life of the Valley Girl (ohmigod!). R. How Grody. Skyway Twin Drive-In 822-3300 Screwballs: What an appropriate title for this classic film. R. Six Pack: Kenny Rogers stars in this film about a race car driver who takes in six children. This movie plays on your sentiment — unfor tunately you will j^robably be only sentimentally sad. PG. House on Sorority Row: Another horror movie with a rather unusual concept. Here, the sorority girls are commiting the fiendish crimes. It's doubtful that this movie would make it past rush — the film just isn't the right type. R. Incubus: This is the horror film which teams up children and de mons, a combination better than Laurel and Hardv. R.
