Gandhi: The film traces 56 of the
79 years of Mahatma Gandhi's life.
Gandhi was a man from India
whose efforts on behalf of his peo

"Great Soul." It's a must to see this
portrayal of a legend. PG.
Raiders of the Lost Ark: An
adventure classic starring every
body's favorite Harrison Ford. Defi

tunately it is not Neil Simon's best
effort but is definitely worth seeing
if for no other reason than it doesn't
star Simon's wife, Marsha Mason.
This comedy stars Walter Matthau.
PG. 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday,
Rudder Theater.
The Outlaws is Coming This
classic from the Three Stooges
beautifully illustrates the trio's abil

— even the Old West. PG. Mid

The Bicycle Thief A classic of
modern theater because of its scope
into Neo—Realism. Unrated. 7:30

Th e Man From Snowy River:
Kirk Douglas stars in this western
about a boy suddenly alone in the
world who helps a girl struggling
with life. In Dolby Stereo. PcT
Spring Break: This is a summer
teen film upgraded for college stu
dents. It glorifies the pursuits of
four young men on the beaches of
Ft. Lauderdale. You will either
laugh or cry at this amazing film. R.
Xhe Outsiders: Based on the
adolescent novel by S.E. Hinton,
this film stars the teen heartthrob
Matt Dillon, most recently of the
Disney film Tex. In Dolby Stereo.
PG.
48Hours: Eddie Murphy and
Nick Nolte star in this detective dra
ma/comedy. R. Midnight.

Tootsie: Dustin Hoffman stars as
an unemployed actor who imper
sonates a woman to land an acting
job on a soap opera. He gets the job
and then the fun begins. PG.
IVlax Dugan Returns: This is the
latest of the Neil Simon series of
films. It — of course — stars his
favorite actress Marsha Mason. She
plays a woman who is down and out
until the man of her life, Max
Dugan, returns with a fortune. They
live happily ever after. PG.
Sophie's Choice: It is finally
here! Meryl Streep stars in this fine
film—it should head the list of films
to see this season. Critics say that
Streep is going to win an Oscar for
this bravo performance. R.
Schulman Six

E.T.: An alien from a distant
planet is stranded on earth by his
mother ship and hidden by a small
boy. The two become good friends
and the boy helps the creature in his
quest to "phone home." PG.
The Black Stallion Returns:
This is the second installment of the
Black Stallion series. If you liked the
first you will love the second.PG.

clones. High school was never like
this. Stars Joe Don Baker from Walk

Tough Enough: This is the story
of an unemployed worker who
turns to boxing to earn his living. No
this is not a Rocky movie and it does
not star Sylvester Stallone.PG.
High Road to China: This is
Tom Selleck's big screen debut. This
adventure film has little adventure
for the viewer and falls flat as a good
ol' Saturday matinee movie. This
attempt also co-stars the lovely Bess
Armstrong — definitely not one of
her stronger roles. PG.
Th e Year of Living Dangerous
ly: This romantic adventure, star
ring Mel Gibson, is set against the
background of war in Indonesia.
PG.
Skyway Twin
Drive-In

Teen Lust: This wonderful film
reverses the traditional role of lust.
This time the women chase the
men. If its a choice between the
movie and washing your clothes —
wash your clothes — they probably
smell like the movie. R.
Baby Doll: Another midnight
lust film. Here if it's a chose between
this movie and washing your
clothes R.
Spring Fever: Susan Anton stars
in this over-hyped film. If you want
to see the leggy Susan then go see
this movie. R.
Cannonball Run: Smokey (Burt
Reynolds) gets a new girl(Farrah
Fawcett) and then the chase begins.
This film might be renamed Smokey
and the Bandit meet Beauty or
Goodbye Sally Fields. In all serious
ness this film is mildly amusing and
almost entertaining. R.

On the cover: After the re
cent humor supplements
and parodies of The Batta
lion came out, the At Ease
staff thought you might be
wondering — just how is a
newspaper produced? How
much time does it take? How
many people contribute to
each issue? We think we've
provided all of the answers.
And if we haven't someone
will probably let us know.
