She plays a woman who is down and out until the man of her life, Max Dugan, returns with a fortune. They live happily ever after. PG. Sophie's Choice: It is finally here! Meryl Streep stars in this fine film—it should head the list of films to see this season. Critics say that Streep is going to win an Oscar for this bravo performance. R. The two become good friends and the boy helps the creature in his quest to "phone home." PG. The Black Stallion Returns: This is the second installment of the Black Stallion series. If you liked the first you will love the second.PG. Joystick: One of the many Porky's clones. High school was never like this. Stars Joe Don Baker from Walk ing Tall and Scott McGinnis. R. Tough Enough: This is the story of an unemployed worker who turns to boxing to earn his living. No this is not a Rocky movie and it does not star Sylvester Stallone.PG. High Road to China: This is Tom Selleck's big screen debut. This adventure film has little adventure for the viewer and falls flat as a good ol' Saturday matinee movie. This attempt also co-stars the lovely Bess Armstrong — definitely not one of her stronger roles. PG. Th e Year of Living Dangerous ly: This romantic adventure, star ring Mel Gibson, is set against the background of war in Indonesia. PG. Here if it's a chose between this movie and washing your clothes R. Spring Fever: Susan Anton stars in this over-hyped film. If you want to see the leggy Susan then go see this movie. R. Cannonball Run: Smokey (Burt Reynolds) gets a new girl(Farrah Fawcett) and then the chase begins. This film might be renamed Smokey and the Bandit meet Beauty or Goodbye Sally Fields. In all serious ness this film is mildly amusing and almost entertaining. R.
