We’ve responded - very well to each situation and . that really pleases me.” The 76ers’ 13th straight win, 126-106, over the Chicago Bulls i Wednesday night, in Philadel- ‘ phia, was an easy one. Julius ; Erving scored 26 points and Andrew Toney added 25. In addition to setting a record for the franchise, the 76ers built the NBA’s longest winning streak of the season. They also have the league’s best record at 33-5. “Everybody is contributing and that’s why we’ve been able to win so many in a row,” Erving said. “(But) there are still some areas we would like to improve in.” The 76ers jumped to a 17-2 lead at the start of the game and twice led by 19 points in the first quarter. The closest Chicago came was 91-79 with 10:58 left, but Philadelphia then went on a 16-4 spurt to end the challenge. In other games, Atlanta edged Seattle, 116-111, Detroit nipped Milwaukee, 107-106, Kansas City trimmed New York, 91-88, Golden State slugged Utah, 103-95, Denver crushed Houston, 130-93, Phoenix top ped San Antonio, 118-113, and Los Angeles nipped San Diego, 107-104. HAWKS 116, SUPER- SONICS 111 — At Atlanta, Rory Sparrow scored 14 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter and Dominique Wilkins and Eddie Johnson each scored 24 to lead Atlanta.
