Starring Dolly Parton and Burt Reynolds, this movie is an adapta tion from the hit Broadway musical. R. Summer of '72: If you don't like teen smut, how about some adult smut? Rated X. MSC Cepheid Variable: 845-1515 Xhe Birds: This movie probably scared you when you were young and it will scare you now. For some unknown reason, all of the birds in this film go "coo-coo” (get it, coo- coo birds?) and attack humans. Thursday Dec. 2 at 7:30 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. in 601 Rudder Tower. MSC Aggie Cinema 845-1515 Taps: Timothy Hutton, in his first movie after "Ordinary People," leads a group of boys in the takeover of their school. George C. Scott stars as the commander of the boy's milit ary school that is threatened with closure. Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and midnight Saturday in Rudder Auditorium. Return of the Secaucus 7: A movie about friendship and love and growing up. This story involve; the lives of a group of survivors whose humor and compassion en able them to cope with their situa tion. Sunday at 7:30 in Rudder Theater. Singing in the Rain: Perfect movie for a lousy week. This flick is considered a classic because of the many entertaining scenes with Gene Kelly, Debbie Reynolds and Donald O'Connor. A must see for those who don't have to study for finals. Wednesday Dec. 1, at 7:30 in Rudder Theater. Plitt Cinema I&II 846-6714 Creepshow: This flick is fashioned after the old horror com ics everyone reads in junior high school. It stars Adrienne Barbeau and Leslie Nielson in several short plots combined into one long movie. R. The Class of 1984: Another gang fight movie similar to Warriors, this movie stars Roddy McDowell as a teacher and Timothy Van Patten as a student enrolled in a high school that is caught up in an explosive situation. R. Manor East 823-8300 An Officer and a Gentleman: Richard Gere stars as Zach Mayo, an officer candidate who learns what it takes to become a gentleman. Debra Winger is Paula, the young woman he meets and learns to love. R. Tron: A Walt Disney movie with computer animation. Stars Beau Bridges as the man who challenges the machine. Worth seeing just to pass BANA 217. PG. IVIissionary: Set at the heyday of the Britich Empire, this comedy fells the tale of a minister and his mission — to redeem women of the night. Set during a time when men were men, ladies were ladies and butlers were people who sometimes knew their way around the house.R. Everything You Always Want ed to Know About Sex: If you can't take Sociology 315 next semester, go see this Woody Allen movie. A comedy take-off on the well-known question and answer book about sex. R. Midnight Friday and Saturday. Post Oak: 764-0616 The Last Unicorn: And yet another unknown animated film. This one is a little different; it has one-horned creatures instead of rats or computers. G. E.T.: An alien from a distant planet is stranded on earth by his mother ship and hidden by a small boy. They learn from each other. Bring Reeses' Pieces to munch on for special effects. PG. Jimmy the Kid: Gary Coleman stars in this movie. Let's hope it's not a typical movie about a typical bratty kid, but then, what else has Gary Coleman played? PG. Schulman Six 775-2468 First Blood: This flick stars the ever-pop.ular Sylvester Stallone as a man persecuted by the law for no apparent reason. Includes a lot of Rocky-type violence. R. Empire Strikes Back: The sequal to Star Wars, this movie stars a little squashy alien, the predecessor to E.T. PG. Eleidi's Song: Another one of the rash of animated films released in the last few months. And the battle of cartoon vs. computer animation wars on. G. Superman II: In the sequal to Su perman I, the powerful he-man, gets the girl and then decides the relationship isn't healthy. You will have to go see the movie to find out who it is unhealthy for. PG. Time Bandits: This movie is worth seeing for the scenery and historical context. The ads say "They didn't make time, they stole it." PG. Incubus: Another science fic tion horror story, the latest in the rash of ones being born ev ery week. R. Skyway Twin Drive-In 822-3300 Halloween III. The Season of the Witch :No, this doesn't star Jamie Lee Curtis. In fact, it doesn't star the creepy killer in the Hallo ween mask. It's not even a sequal. R. V isiting Hours: Would you go into a hospital that had a skull in the window? Some people, i.e. the ones in this movie, ain't got your sense. R. Sorceress: A movie with all the elements of science fiction and horror tossed in. No major stars. R. Galaxy of Terror: The long- awaited sequal to Milkv Way of Ter ror and Solar System of Terror.
