There were a lot of great
drives coming from the Men’s

contestants, Martin Wells won
the competition with a drive of
284 yards. Martin is a 19 year old
Agricultural Economics Major

second place and leader through
most of the competition, was

home with several notable awards.

Champion of the Forms Competition. Other winners were:

Sandy Pierson - third place black belt women
Pierson - first place black belt women
second place Grand Champion
Shigeru Katada - third place hard black belt
The Tae Kwon Do Club has performed well in this and other competitions. The success of the club is largely due to
the efforts of individual members who are responsible for most of the administrative aspects in addition to practicing.
This particular club is primarily instructional, but members compete regularly, as well.
Persons interested in learning the Tae Kwon Mo Martial Arts form should consider becoming a member. For more
information about Tae Kwon Do or any other extramural sports club, individuals should contact Barbara Aiken in the
IM-REC Sports Office, 159 E. Kyle or phone 845-7826.
