United Press International NEW YORK — The Reader’s Digest condensed Bible shortens God’s word by 60 percent and Moral Majority leader Jerry Fal- well is among the unhappy fun damentalists who say the maga zine should stick to “condensing books by men.” The purpose of the 816-page work, which went on sale Tues day for $16.95, is to make more people read the Bible, Reader’s Digest said Monday.
