More than thirty courses will be offered by the department. Cindy Arnold, coordinator of instructional programs for the Bryan Parks and Recreation De partment, initiated the program in February to offer the entire community a variety of courses to interest all ages. Arnold said the most popular courses include dog obedience, beginning ballet, charm school and modeling techniques, arts and crafts and introduction to home computers. Courses last from four to eight weeks and prices range from $8 to $35 depending on the facilities used and the salar ies of the instructors, Arnold said. The entire program is non profit. Instructors are paid 80 per cent of the course price and the facilities are paid the remaining 20 percent. Arnold hires many Texas A&M students as instruc tors and is looking for more teachers and course ideas, she said. A crafts and exercise class for senior citizens is planned for this ithitli DANCE INSTRUCTORS NEEDED Society Auditions for ballet, modern jazz, aerobic and tap teachers will be held Wednesday, Sept. 8.
