Canzeri has denied any wrongdoing, but in a letter to President Reagan said his res ignation was in the best interest of the Reagan administration. A White House spokesman said the Justice Department was investigating both Canzeri’s acceptance of below-market terms for financing a $380,000 townhouse and a pair of double billings for travel expenses. “I’m not accused of anything, but I don’t want to live in this environment,” Canzeri said. “I’d be ineffective.” Canzeri had wide responsibil ity for scheduling and travel arrangements in the Reagan administration.
