Campus Theater 846-6512 Neighbors: John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd play neighbors in this outrageous comedy that takes a shot at the sometimes bizarre circumstances of con temporary life. If you have ever been driven to the brink of homicide by the weirdo next door, you'll have plenty to empathize with. Rated PG. Rocky Horror Picture Show: A bizarre treatment of the Frank enstein myth, complete with rock music and kinky sex. Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick portray lost travelers who wan der into a castle and experience a night to remember. Rated R. Midnight Friday and Saturday. Manor East 823-8300 Taps: A 141-year-old military academy has been molding young patriots for years, but now it faces demolition to make room for a real estate develop ment. The devoted corps of cadets takes on the task of fight ing off the land sharks, while the outside world watches the con frontation with the news media. Starring George C. Scott and Timothy Hutton. Rated PG. Venom: Are you into snakes? Oliver Reed is. He's starring in this film which, as the title sug gests, may be deadly and poiso nous. Rated R. Who rose Life Is It Anyway?: Richard Dreyfuss plays a talented young sculptor who suffers irreparable personal damage after a tragic automobile accident leaves him paralyzed from the neck down. Animal House: A National Lampoon story of the crazy goings-on in 1962 vintage frater nity houses. Starring John Be lushi and a slew of other crazies. Rated R. Midnight Friday and Saturday. Heavy Metal: An animated fe ature with a rock score featuring Black Sabbath, Devo and Cheap Trick under. Offering science fiction, mystery and sexual fan tasies. Rated R. Midnight Friday and Saturday. MSC Cepheid Vari able 845-1515 Young Frankenstein: The hila rious Mel Brooks comedy about the grandson of the infamous Baron Frankenstein who is lured into creating a new monster. Starring Gene Wilder as young Frankenstein, plus Madeline Kahn and Marty Feldman. Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. in Rudder Theater. Rated R. MSC Aggie Cinema 845-2916 The Four Seasons: A comedy about three couples who take vacations together each season, and the witty and sensitive ways they deal with the changes in their lives. Directed by Alan Alda, who also stars. Also with Carol Burnett, Rita Moreno and Sandy Dennis. Friday and Saturday at 8:00 p.m. in Rudder Auditorium. Rated PG. Halloween II: The psycho pathic killer is stalking sweet young things again. Will Jamie Leigh Curtis ever be rid of him? Friday and Saturday at midnight in Rudder Auditorium. Rated R. W hat's Up Doc?: A screwball comedy with Barbra Streisand as an eccentric girl with an en- cylopedic mind, Ryan O'Neal as an absent-minded professor and Madeline Kahn as his zany fian cee. Listen closely, and you'll hear Texas A&M mentioned. Rated G. Sunday at 7:30 p.m. in Rudder Theater. A Day At The Races: A great Marx Brothers movie. Groucho plays Dr. Hugo Z. Quakenbush in a lampoon of the medical pro fession. Chico gives racetrack tips and Harpo and Chico are in a mad rescue operation as man iac wallpaper hangers. Rated G. Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in 274 East Kyle. Soldier Of Orange: A critically acclaimed epic tribute to Dutch resistance in World War II. Based on the true-life adven tures of Holland's most extraor dinary hero of World War II, this is a rousing action and suspense story. Rated R. Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in Rudder Theater. Plitt Cinema I&II: 846-6714 The Seduction: Morgan Fair- child plays an anchorwoman who is stalked by a man whose only goal in life is to bed her. Fairchild tries to tempt him so much with her "brief" appear ances, it's no surprise that's all the guy thinks about. Rated R. Ghost Story: A spooky story of ghostly revenge. Four elderly men meet regularly to frighten each other with scary story tell ing, but find themselves threatened with real terror from their secret past. Starring Mel vin Douglas, Patricia Neal, Fred Astaire and Douglas Fairbanks. Rated PG. Catwoman of the Moon; A classic 50's science fiction film. Midnight Friday and Saturday; also showing with The Creature in the Maze, a horror thriller. Both of these movies are 3D, so bring your glasses. Schulman Six: 775-2468 or 775-2463 Raiders of The Lost Ark: A box office draw — why else would they still be showing this? Harri son Ford plays the adventurer Indiana Jones in search of the Ark of Covenant. Snakes, spid ers and escapes from wild na tives make this one a real clif- fhanger. Rated PG. Reds: This film explores a con troversial time in American his s; tory: the time ot emergence of the American Communist Par- . The story revolves around te life of Communist journalist John Reed and his love, Louise Bryant. Directed by and starring Warren Beatty, with Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson. Rated R. See review on page 6. Absence of Malice: Sally Field plays a investigative repor ter who writes an erroneous story that ruins the life of a busi nessman (Paul Newman). The film follows the conflict between the reporter and businessman and between the institutions in volved. Rated R. IVIodem Problems: Chevy Chase plays a confused air traf fic controller with girl problems, namely his possessive nature which is driving his girlfriend away. To add to his problems, he gets sloshed with an over flow of muclear waste and be comes telekinetic — everything he thinks about happens. Rated PG. Sharkey's Machine: Burt Reynolds plays Sharkey who, although demoted to the vice squad, is still out to get the city's ominous and anoymous crime king known only as "The Ace." Rachel Ward plays the high- priced call girl who lies down on the job for the mob. Rated R. Cinderella: The Walt Disney classic about the young girl who, despite her two ugly step sisters and ugly step mother, manages to get to the ball and meet her handsome prince with help from her fairy godmother. Rated G. : Folk singers Dar den Smith and Richard Brock are scheduled for tonight and Friday and Saturday nights. Also enjoy the 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. happy hour with 45tf draft beer and $1 bar drinks.
