Holden leaves estate to family, girlfriends United Press International LOS ANGELES — The late actor William Holden left 5250,000 to his actress-girlfriend Stephanie Powers and the bulk of his multi-million dollar estate to his family. Holden’s will, which was dated April 6, 1979, was filed for probate Wednesday in Superior Court. The 63-year-old actor bled to death Nov. 16 after slipping on a hrow rug in his beachfront apart ment and striking his head on a table. The will ordered that most of his estate be shared among his family. The actor is survived by his Man jailed for threats against Bush United Press International SAN ANTONIO — A man im prisoned three years for threaten ing the life of former Vice Presi dent Walter Mondale has been convicted of making terrorist threats against Vice President George Bush and San Antonio Mayor Henry Cisneros. John Wesley DeShazo, 43, who served three years in Leaven worth Federal Prison in Kansas for threatening Mondale’s life in 1977, had pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to federal charges of mailing two threatening letters to Cisneros. One hand-scrawled note, accompanied by a .32-caliber bul let, also threatened Bush. U.S. District Judge H.F. Gar cia rejected the insanity claim and found DeShazo guilty. He de layed sentencing pending a pre sentencing investigation. DeShazo, who has been held in the Bexar County jail on $250,000 bond since his arrest, was con victed of similar charges in 1968, 1972 and 1977. mother, Mary Beedle; sister Au- dria; two sons, Scott Porter and Peter Westfield; and his former wife, Ardis Holden. Also named in the will were Virginia Baylor, Ardis Holden’s daughter by a previous marriage, and his niece, Leslie Kim Hen- nessy. Holden left his gun collection to his two sons and all other art and collections to the Desert Museum pf, Palm Springs. All proceeds from his movie “Bridge on the River Kwai” go to the Motion Pic- fijre and Television Relief Fund. The will also bequeathed $50,000 to ex-girlfriend Capucine Lefebre, the Swiss-born actress, and the same amount to another friend, Patricia Stauffer. Holden, who frequently traveled to Africa, where he was active in conservation efforts, wil led property in Africa to a wildlife preservation charity.
