Special appreciation and thanks are extended to all those individuals who officiated football, volley ball, soccer, flickerball, and water basketball this fall. Few are the players who realize that the offi cials keep the games going and under control. Intramural officials at Texas A&M attend training clinics and periodic meetings. Their work schedule depends on when games must be played. They seldom are congratulated when good calls are made, but quickly are chastised if ever they err. Yes, intramural officials sometimes make mistakes. After all, they’re only human. But most of the time their calls are consistent and fair. Often they must put up with beligerent players who try to officiate WHILE they’re playing. Usually the efforts of intramural officials go unre warded, so the IM-REC Sports staff would like to thank all of you for jobs well done! And now that we’ve given you a well-deserved pat-on-the-back, you are reminded that we will need basketball officials in the spring. All interested men and women should contact Dave Kerr today.
