All list ings are current through press time. Campus Theater 846-6512 Time Bandits: Time Bandits are six small creatures who are capable of intercosmic travel yet unable to tie their own shoelaces. Starring a zany cast of characters including Shelly Duvall, Sean Connery, Ian Holm, the" adventure fantasy film was directed by Terry Gil liam (Monty Python fans re joice 1 !). George Yiarhson pro vides the musical score. Rated PG. IVIeatballs: Bill Murray stars as a summer camp counselor amoung a bunch of misfits. Basically it's one of the crude- humor-type films where the characters have all the fun which we pay to see. Rated R. Midnight Friday and Saturday. Manor East 823-8300 Raiders of the Lost Ark: It looks like this movie will be here forever. But that's o.k., because it's worth seeing again and again. Rated PG. TlaYloween Yi: TYie new and improved story of a murderer loose on Halloween. Hiding be hind an eerie white mask, the deranged killer stalks sweet young high school students. Maybe he was deprived treats as a child and resorted to tricks. Features several disgustingly gruesome murders. You may never eat apples again. Rated R. Only When I Laugh: A Neil Simon comedy. Marsha Mason plays a woman stumbling into a new life as a rcently de-toxified alcoholic. She not only takes re sponsibility for her 17-year-old daughter (Kristy McNichol) but is chosen for the lead in a play an ex-boyfriend wrote based upon their relationship. With James Coco and Joan Hacked. Directed by Glenn Jordan. Rated R. For Your Byes Only. Roger Moore as 007 (who else). This one's better than a lot of the re cent 007 films, but it's still for die-hard Bond fans. Rated PG. Midnight Friday and Saturday. MSC Cepheid Variable 845-1515 A Clockwork Orange: Mal colm McDowell, Patrick Magee. Alex is a young gangster with a taste for classical music. When he tinally gets caught, he volun teers for some unusual therapy, trying to be "cured." Rated R. Thursday at 7:30 and 10 p.m. in Rudder Theater. MSC Aggie Cinema 845-2916 Any Which Way You Can: In this sequel to "Every Which Way But Loose," bare-knuckle fight champ Clint Eastwood again pursues wayward country singer Sondra Locke. Clyde the orangutan, and the foul- mouthed nagging Ma Boggs all get involved when the slow- witted TYiilo takes on the Ydng- pin bareknuckler. Rated PG. Fri day and Saturday at 7:30 and 9:45 p.m.. Rudder Theater. Shogun Assasin: This film is considered a children's film in its native Japan, but beware! A samurai warrior is ready to kill anyone who crosses his path of vengeance. Rated R. Saturday at midnight in Rudder Theater. IVIelvin and Howard: A warm, witty and vibrantly free wheeling American folk tale ab out a hopeless man who, after picking up half-dead billionaire Howard Hughes in the desert, becomes heir to $156 million, purportedly left to him by Hughes in the much-publicized "Mormon Will." Rated R. Sun day at 7:30 in Rudder Theater. Loulou: Loulou is truly a ro mantic film rather than a sexual one, more so than in the haunt ing final image of its two lovers lurching away from the camera, still together, for better or for worse. Director Maurice Pialat deals with sexual stereotypes in order to turn them on their heads; he neither floats the spec tre of guilt and moralism over Nelly and Loulou's frankly car nal affair, nor does he soft-pedal the difficulties of such an arrangement. (Unrated) Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in Rud der Theater. Plitt Cinema I&II 846-6714 Endless Love: Endless lust. This is the summer's teenage make-out movie starring the ever-popular teen queen her self, Brooksie Shields, as Jade, and Martin Hewitt as her teen lover David. David is so in love with Jade he burns her house down. (Now that's true love.) This one is full of unintentional laughs, and mostly it's endless. Brooksie was better in jeans. Rated R. Arthur: Dudley Moore plays a millionaire playboy (Arthur) whose life has been one long, usuaWy drunken, spree unW\ \\e falls for a nobody (Liza Minnel/i) form Queens. John Gielgud as Arthur's salty-tongued valet and best friend just about steals the show. Theme song by Christopher Cross. Rated PG. Used Cars: A screwball salute to the wheeler-dealers who keep America's clunkers on the road. This comedy follows an all-out battle for business between two feuding used car dealers who try to sell these lemons any way they can. Starring Kurt Russell and Jack Warden. Rated R. Mid night. Ladies and Gentlemen: The Rolling Stones: Need more be said? This is probably a video tape of the concert in Houston — No? Well then PRETEND it's the video-tape of the Houston concert and then you can tell •your friends you saw the con cert. Don't go to this film on drugs — there are enough in the film already. Rated PG.
