James Kinder, chairman of the group called Cotton County Services Inc., said a similar project carried out from 1972 to 1978 resulted in increased rainfall and better crops. He said the process does not affect the frequency of showers, but causes more rain to fall when storm clouds do form. “We are sold on it in Cotton Coun ty because we’ve had six years of ex perience,” Kinder said.
