mysterious owner of a fantastic candy factory offers a tour and a
lifetime supply of his chocolate to the lucky finders of the five
golden tickets hidden inside Wonka candy bars. The Oompa-
Loompas make their premier appearance in this fantasy. The fea
ture will be shown at 7:30 and 9:45 p.m. in Rudder Theater.

Debating Ags win
Texas A&M University’s varsity
debate team took first place in the
senior division, and the forensics
squad took second place sweepstakes
Oct. 10-12 at Texas Tech University
last weekend.
Twenty schools from seven states
attended the tournament.
Senior Michael Shelby of Victoria
and sophomore Ruby Daniels of San
Antonio defeated the University of
Utah in the final round in a unani
mous decision.
Shelby and Daniels ranked second
and fourth in the senior division.
Earlier, they debated teams from
the University of Texas at Arlington,
Baylor University, Eastern New
Mexico State University, North
Texas State University, Odessa
Junior College, and Mississippi Uni
versity for Women.
Sophomore Mike Feeny of Santa
Fe, N.M., freshman Jeff Rouse of
Bryan, junior Lanie Kobeluch of
Stafford, and Scott McGraw of Hous
ton competed in the junior division,
assisting in accumulating sweep-
stakes points.
The Aggie squad will send teams
to compete Oct. 17-19 at Emporia,
Kan., and Edinburg, Texas.
