The move is expected to result in slightly higher gasoline prices at the pump. The agency’s regulatory arm also announced allocation changes limit ing gas supplies to new stations, cer tain oil jobbers and priority gasoline users like the Department of De fense. David Bardin, director of the Economic Regulatory Administra tion, told reporters that the 15.4 cent per gallon ceiling on dealer profit margins will apply only to in dependent retailers starting im mediately. He said his agency had not yet completed work on pricing rules for company owned gas-and-go outlets. Bardin said the profit margin ceil ing would permit the average sta tion’s profits to rise about 25 percent because dealers are currently add ing between 14 and 16 cents a gallon for a profit. Bardin said the new system would be much more enforceable than the current complex formula for arriving at a maximum dealer price. But he conceded the ceiling does not please all independent dealers who have Sun Theatres 696-0072 333 University 84t The only movie in town Double-Feature Every Week 10 a.m.-2 a.m. Sun.-Thurs. 10 a.m.-3 a.m. Fri.-Saf.
